  9. The difference between Canada and Haiti is in Canada we have a lot more job opportunities than they do in Haiti. Because of the lack of job opportunities every one in six people live outside of Haiti or immigrate to U.S.A (their first destination) or Canada (second destination). Most of the people that just came from Haiti would live in Quebec.

  10. Some similarities with Cambodia aand Canada is that people are proud of their culture, language and customs. Some differences are that most Cambodians still don't have access to clean water and electricity where in Canada, we do. Also, there are about 25 000 Cambodians living in Canada today but I don't think a lot of Canadians live in Cambodia because we have all the things we need to survive like clean water. In Cambodia, they don't have all the things we have. CLARA :)

  15. In Portugal, although all children as expected to attend school, many find it difficult to afford the materials required for their classes. All resources such as notebooks, writing tools and textbooks and readers are to be purchased by the families for each student for each year. New editions of textbooks are created almost every year, which means many of them cannot be reused by younger siblings. This expense is also a reason why many children drop out of school at a young age. We are fortunate here in Canada (although not perfect) to have a school system that provides many of the learning materials and resources required to engage students. As well as, a system that supports or subsidizes much of the learning expenses to ensure those who want to learn have access to that learning.

One difference is that England is much smaller. England is twice the size of Nova Scotia, which is only a small part of Canada. Another difference is Climate. England has moderate temperatures most of the year compared with Canada. There are slight differences throughout the seasons, but not extreme temperature differences like we have with hot, hot summers and freezing winters.

  39. In St.Vincent children are offered free education, but school is not required. The public schools last for seven years. Some schools are over crowed, a lot of classes share a large room. A fraction of students do not finish their elementary education because they have to work for their families, children who are sent home for lunch usually do not come do not come back because of that.

In Canada on the other hand offers free education, and it is necessary that we go. Most grade schools are from k-8, which is 10 whole school years. our schools in Canada are not over crowed in fact kindergarten to grade 3 should not hold more than 20 I believe, grade 4 and up should not be over 25 – 30. In Canada we cannot drop out of school until we are age 16 or 18. Also, it is illegal in Canada for children under age 14 to work, which follows the United Nation’s Rights of the Child.
