2. Make a connection
3. Similarities and differences
The national issueis that to many people are useing to many plast bags. It said something about the municicipal government. JEREMY:)
ReplyDeleteThe article that I selected was called:the elastic demand of plastic. It is a national issue (therefore, the federal government is involved) because people are still buying plastic bags even with the 5 cent charge. We need to stop buying them because it effects the enviorment, animals and tons of other things. There is a store that is called Atlantic Superstore and they're trying to help out by giving the customers 1 cent if they bring their resuable and eco-friendly bags to the store to put the things they're buying in them. I chose this article because something I know alot about. ERIC 5:)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jeremy that people are using too many plastic bags and that it is a national issue. Also, plastic bags sometimes get dumped in the ocean and trap marine animals, such as dolphins. Eric 5:)
ReplyDeleteMy national issueis is that all the tronto fans want (hockey) to play U.S.A because all the fans saidd we want U.S.A.This is junior hockey.AZARA:):):):):):):):):):):
ReplyDeleteI also agree with eric and jeremy because when they leave them on the ground they decompose and it will eat at the ozone lare and the whales will get a sever sunburn. AZARA:)::)
ReplyDeleteMy article is called Bus driver asks Ford to change TTC policy. It's called this because a man named Mike Nicholson was forced out of the Oshawa council because he was a TTC worker. I think it's wrong because he should be able to be in the TTC and the council. The type of government envoled is municipal. Neal :d
ReplyDeleteI agree with eric5 giving out 1 cent every time you bring a reusible bag is a good way to get people to use the three "r's" more. It also won't let people kill sea life by plastic sufication.Neal :d
ReplyDeleteI agree with eric that people are still buying plastic bags instead of gettin a reuseable one.
ReplyDeleteThe article i selected is:elastic demand of plastic. And it is a national article thefore the federal goverment is included. Also we should stop buying plastic bags for an extra five-cents because it is hurting the humans and that is why people should use eco-friendly containers and containers so they don't hurt our humans. Also it not only effects humans it also effects living creatures.

First I agree with on how by not using eco-friendly bags it is effecting the enviorment, animals, and other things.Similarities are that we both said is a federal goverment and it is a national article.Differents are that he said there is a store Atlantic superstore and they help out by give you 1 cent for bringing eco-friendly bagsand I did not

The artical i chose was called Elastic demand of plastic. It is a Fedral level of gouvernment.I think useing a lot of plastic(bags, containers ect.) is not healthy for the envorment for example plastic bags can kill animals by them chewing on it so 1 lesson is learned no bags

My artical ( I forget the tittle ) is about how a police officer ( RCMP ) kicked a man in the face. The federal goverment had to get involved in this because this was illegal and it was also the same violence as in the G20 when an officer beat up the people there. Also it turns out the man was inocent. The police officer said he kicked him because he shot with a gun at a golf course but the man said it was because he was hired to scare geese off the course with it. Also he says the officer kicked him AFTER he dropped the gun and surendered. Now they are trying to figure out punishment. This is unfair because that means the police decieds what to do to the police and they don't want to do any thing to their co-workers.
ReplyDeleteThis is bad because it means they aren't settleing it fairly and now we have bad police running around.
- Becky
The title of my article is, "Former Tunisian ruler's relatives jet to Canada". This story is about the rich family of former Tunisian dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali flying to Canada in a private jet to live here. The family made lots of their money from the citizens of Tunisia. This is a national issue because we need to consider whether or not a person is good or bad before allowing them to come to Canada. - Declan ^.^
ReplyDelete(I forgot to add that...) I chose the article "Former Tunisian ruler's relatives jet to Canada" because I thought it was horrible because the family is here in Canada like they didn't do anything wrong and they don't get sent to court and punished. - Declan >.<
ReplyDeleteMy artical is about a mounty kicking some one just like what happend in the g20 but the police get to investagate what a police man did witch i find un far.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Becky because even after he gave up he got kicked by a officer who is supposed to be helping get peace in the world. I just hope this doesn't happen again because he has a right to not get hurt.
ReplyDeleteSorry forgot to put my name. Neal:d
ReplyDeletei agree with becky about the police offecer not getting the right punishiment because his co- workers don't want to do anything bad to him and it is not fair.
